Delete your GigSpace account

Applies to the GigSpace Artist app (artists), the GigSpace Agent app (agencies) and the web app at app.gigspace.ie. Deleting an account is immediate and cannot be undone.

1. How to delete it yourself

The fastest route is inside the app you use. You stay in control of the whole thing, and it takes effect straight away.

  • GigSpace Artist (artists): Settings, then Delete account at the bottom. You will be asked to type DELETE to confirm.
  • GigSpace Agent (agencies): More, then My account, then Delete my account. You will be asked to type DELETE to confirm.
  • The web app: sign in at app.gigspace.ie and use the same option in your account settings.

2. If you cannot sign in

Email privacy@gigspace.ie from the address on the account, telling us you want it deleted. We will confirm it is you, delete the account and write back when it is done. We aim to reply by the next working day and to complete the deletion within 30 days.

3. What is deleted

These go immediately and permanently:

  • Your login and your profile, including your name, email address and password.
  • Your notification settings, your alerts and your saved preferences.
  • Your payout and bank details, including IBAN and BIC. These leave with you, not with the act.
  • Your act’s photo, biography, social links, equipment list, past-gig list and location. The act is retired and can no longer be offered work.
  • Any open offers to you are declined automatically, and the agencies that made them are told the account was deleted.

4. What is kept, and why

Some records are not ours alone to erase. Invoices, gigs, statements and booking history belong to the booking agencies and venues you worked with: they are those businesses’ own financial and tax records, and Irish law generally requires them to be kept for six years. Your act’s name stays on those past bookings so the records still make sense; the personal detail behind it is stripped as set out in section 3.

The full picture is in the Privacy Policy, section 9.

5. Two cases where we ask you to act first

Deletion is refused, with the reason on screen, in two situations. Neither is a trap: each is something that would leave somebody else stranded.

  • You are the only admin of an agency that still has team members or upcoming gigs. Make a colleague an admin first, or ask us to close the agency.
  • You have upcoming booked gigs. The refusal lists them. Cancel or hand them over first, so no venue is left without an act on the night.

Once either is resolved, deletion goes through normally.
